Been a while... What have we learned....

Ok ok, so its been a while since I have been on. What has happened?

First high school. My brothers team (Lincoln Cardinals) lost the inagural game for the high school on a heart breaking TD run by Appleton City as the clock ran out. Lincoln dominated much of the game. What killed them was when their QB kept the ball for about a 12 yd gain, was tackled, and little did we know at the time, ruptured his spleen. OUCH!! The kid got up, walked off the field, and managed to last until his trip to the hospital about an hour later before they even knew it was his spleen. Tough kid Bryson is. Lincoln will get it together....

Kansas City area high school football...
Blue Springs was the consensus # 1 throughout the city and state. Only thing is, their rival Rockhurst pulled off an upset in week 3. This left Liberty as the # 1 Kansas City school, only to fall victim this week to Park Hill South. Marcus Lucas (for those that do not know, he is the # 19 WR in the country) was completely shut down. Raytown gained their first win of the season against Oak Grove. LaVance Taylor put an absolute clinic on. 232 yrds, 5 TD's on 12 carries. Raytown lost this past week to LSW and now sits at 1-3. Props to O'Hara High. Good friend Matt Baker coaches there and had these kids primed for their week 4 matchup. They fell to Sedalia Smith-Cotton 28-21 for their first loss of the season. O'Hara remains one of the top teams in the state at 3-1 and will rebound.

If your up for a hell of a game this week, Kearney and Staley play.

On to college. So so so sick of hearing how good Nebraska is. They are now 0-16 against top 20 opp. They have not rearrived and will have to prove they belong in the Top 25. They play a suspect schedule with the exception of V Tech. As for the other team we hate, kansas continues to roll to 3-0 against the same type of schedule as Nebraska. Meanwhile, Missouri is now 3-0. They did struggle against BG, however Gabbert is lights out at QB in 3 games. Say what you want, the kid has NO pics in 3 games. This week they travel to Nevada for what could be a trap game. I know I know, as much of a die hard MU fan as I am, I believe this will be tougher than many think. Yes, they are 0-2, but return the conference player of the year at QB and a top RB. I think Missouri prevails though 42-20.

Now on to the NFL....

Only good thing is thank you Eli Manning for 28 fantasy points and thank you Colts D for that pic at the whistle to give me a fantasy victory this week.

Outside that, its business as usual for the Royals beating the shit out of everyone in Sept, and the Chiefs 0-fer, well who knows....

Raytown is getting the brakes beat off them!

B Dalton Dismissed From Missouri

This is the second "known" offense by this kid. Pain killers and unopened beer first, and now this? For those that do not know, he was charged with a DWI. Dalton is the former Blue Springs South QB with a ton of potential. Supporters and followers from his school stated that he was a problem off the field, and now it is showing through. Dalton, GET HELP KID. You have now wasted a scholarship away.

Lincoln Cardinals Football

Congratulations to my twin Bobby for his venture in getting football at his current hometown of Lincoln Missouri. The Cardinals will kick off football for the first time in the history of the city on Monday August 31 at 6 PM at Lincoln High School south of Sedalia on 65 Highway and just north of Warsaw. One of the features I will do is a weekly interview with him on his football season, as well as his basketball team since he is also the coach.

High School 2009 Report

All,

Looking for some Missouri fans and local Kansas City input on current and future Missouri recruits high school results week-to-week. Would love to have some people participate in this on a weekly basis. I will be attending the Raytown @ Kearney game tonight.
